WaterStart’s collaborative model is driving real results across the water innovation ecosystem. Since 2013, the organization has focused on finding solutions for 150+ priorities from our utility partners, evaluated more than 450 technologies and launched 51 funded projects. Our investments, totaling $4.6 million, have not only accelerated the adoption of new solutions (72% of our funded pilots have been adopted by utilities) but also created 180 jobs and generated more than $33 million in economic impact in Nevada. This growing track record reflects our commitment to bridging the gap between water innovation and implementation, delivering measurable value to both communities and the industry.

This first-of-its-kind water conservation pilot program installed an atmospheric water generator on a Bellagio cooling tower that recycles humidity into usable water. The water savings helps make the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1’s first net-zero water consumption race.

The Southern Nevada Water Authority piloted the Klir platform to help it effectively manage more than 3,000 permitting processes. The success of that pilot project led to two other WaterStart partners successfully adopting the technology as well.
